Since 1880, one job: get the section, the row, and the seat right.
D.English prints for professional sports organizations, venues, festivals, theatres, and promoters across North America: reserved-seat and season tickets, thermal stock for your box office, special and security tickets, suite ticket boxes, parking and coat check, commercial print, and promotional items. Variable data proofed against your source file and checked through the run, produced in our own Montreal plant, in English and French.

Frequently asked questions
- Do you print for United States teams, leagues, and venues?
- Yes, routinely. D.English prints for National Hockey League clubs and works with professional sports organizations, leagues, arenas, stadiums, ballparks, universities, festivals, promoters, and premier event venues across North America. Montreal is about an hour from the New York State border, we invoice in US dollars, and we operate in native English, so an American buyer deals with us exactly as they would a domestic supplier.
- If we buy from Canada, do we pay Canadian tax or import duty?
- No Canadian sales tax. GST, HST, and Quebec QST are zero-rated on goods exported to the United States, so Canadian tax never appears on your invoice. On duty, qualifying printed goods from Canada generally enter the United States duty-free under CUSMA/USMCA, and we handle the export paperwork and certification of origin. Combined with the exchange rate and manufacturer-direct pricing, US buyers comparing a like-for-like domestic quote commonly land thirty to forty percent below it, though the exact figure depends on the rate that day and the specification, so we quote the real number per project.
- How quickly can we get a proof, and how does shipping work into the US?
- Physical proofs go out by FedEx and typically reach major US metros the next business day. Production freight runs overnight or two-day into the Northeast, including New York City and Boston, and we ship anywhere in the continental United States. Event dates do not move, so we plan production backward from your on-sale or gate date rather than quoting a generic lead time.
- Do you print anything besides tickets?
- Yes, effectively anything that gets printed. D.English is a division of Accent Impression, a Montreal manufacturer that owns its presses, so the same account covers wide format and grand format, stadium and arena dressing such as banners, fascia, rink and court graphics, wall and window graphics, concourse and wayfinding signage, promotional items and fan giveaways, apparel, packaging, direct mail, game programs and yearbooks, and general commercial print. Teams and venues usually come to us for ticketing and then stop using three other suppliers, because there is no reason to go anywhere else.
- Can you dress a whole stadium or arena for a season or an event?
- Yes. Venue dressing is wide-format work and we produce it in the same plant as the tickets: banners and fascia, rink board and court graphics, wall and window graphics, concourse and wayfinding signage, locker room and tunnel graphics, backdrops, and sponsor activations. Producing it alongside your ticketing means one approved brand palette across everything a fan sees, from the ticket in their hand to the banner over their head, and one supplier accountable to the same event date.
- Why are you considered a variable data expert specifically?
- Because it is the hardest part of a ticket and it is what we have done since 1880. Variable data ticketing means every piece carries its own section, row, seat, price level, account, barcode, and sequence number, at the scale of a full professional season. We validate the source file before anything prints, proof the run against the seating manifest, keep sequence checks running through press and finishing, and confirm scanning specs against your own equipment before a full run commits. A discrepancy stops the run instead of shipping, because the alternative is a gate incident in front of a queue.
- How long has D.English been printing tickets?
- Since 1880. D.English is the ticket printing division of Accent Impression and one of the longest-running ticket printers in North America, supplying professional sports organizations, venues, festivals, theatres, and promoters from its own plant in Montreal.
- Do you work with our ticketing system?
- We confirm rather than assume. Tell us your printers and your scanning setup and we confirm the stock and print specs against them, with samples and test tickets you can run before committing.
- How do you keep variable data accurate?
- A wrong seat number is a gate incident, so quality control is the product: the data file is validated, the run is proofed against the source, and checks continue through press and finishing. A discrepancy stops the run.
- Do you print for organizations outside Canada?
- Yes. We supply professional sports organizations and venues across North America, including the United States, and we quote in Canadian or US dollars. Producing in Montreal puts us close to the border, and the exchange rate generally works in a US buyer's favour.
- What are your minimums and turnaround?
- Both depend on the format, the data work, and the features, so we quote them per project instead of promising a universal number. Event dates are hard deadlines: we plan production backward from your on-sale or gate date, and producing in our own plant is what keeps that schedule honest.
- Do you serve bilingual events and Quebec venues?
- Yes, and it is home turf. Montreal is a sports and festival city and we print here, in both languages, from one approved file. Teams, venues, theatres, and promoters get Quebec-natural French and clean English on the same run.
