D.English

For U.S. teams, leagues & venues

A ticket printer that has been doing this since 1880, one border away

D.English prints for National Hockey League clubs and for teams, leagues, arenas, stadiums and premier event venues across North America. Billed in US dollars, no Canadian sales tax, in English.

Who we print for

Major and minor league clubs

Hockey, baseball, soccer, football and basketball, from major league clubs through minor league, junior and collegiate programs.

League offices

League-wide programs, where consistency from club to club matters as much as the piece itself.

Arenas and stadiums

Arenas, ballparks, amphitheatres, convention centres and racetracks running multiple tenants across multiple seasons.

Premier event venues

Performing arts venues, theatres and festival sites where the gate has to run without incident.

University athletic departments

Collegiate programs with season packages, student sections and donor tiers.

Promoters and touring productions

Promoters, producers and tours building one date at a time, often in a different city each week.

What we print

Reserved seat and season tickets

Section, row and seat printed from your seating manifest, sequenced and checked against the source file, with season packages collated per account.

Thermal ticket stock

Thermal stock for box offices, kiosks and will-call, matched to your printers and your ticketing system. Backs preprinted where you want them.

Variable data, barcodes and QR codes

Sequential numbering, one-dimensional barcodes, QR codes and database-driven per-seat printing, with the data file validated before anything prints.

Security and special tickets

Foils, UV-reactive elements and watermark-style patterns, scoped to what your event's resale value actually justifies.

Suite and premium ticket boxes

Presentation boxes for suite holders, sponsors and season members, produced as one coordinated piece.

Credentials, parking, coat check

Passes, staff, media and artist credentials, parking hangtags, coat check tags and vouchers, numbered where operations need an audit trail.

Venue graphics

Banners, fascia, dasher and court graphics, wall and window graphics, concourse and wayfinding signage.

Everything else

Promotional items, fan giveaways, apparel, game programs, yearbooks, direct mail and general commercial print.

Why buying from Montreal works

Billed in US dollars

We quote and invoice in USD. Nothing to convert, no exchange risk, and no foreign currency invoice to explain to your finance department.

No Canadian sales tax

GST, HST and Quebec QST are zero-rated on goods exported to the United States. Canadian tax never appears on your invoice, and there is nothing for you to recover.

Duty-free under USMCA

Qualifying printed goods generally enter the United States duty-free under CUSMA/USMCA. We prepare the export documentation and the certification of origin.

Straight from the manufacturer

We own our presses. You pay the manufacturer's price, with no broker margin and no platform fee on top.

What it adds up to

The exchange rate, zero-rated export tax and manufacturer-direct pricing stack. Buyers comparing a like-for-like domestic quote commonly land thirty to forty percent below it. The exact figure depends on the rate that day and the specification, so we quote the real number per project.

Proofs by FedEx

Physical proofs go out by FedEx and typically reach major US metros the next business day. Production freight runs overnight or two-day into the Northeast, and we ship anywhere in the continental US.

Ordering from the United States

Do you print for NHL teams?
Yes. D.English prints ticketing for National Hockey League clubs and has worked with professional sports organizations across North America since 1880.
Do you bill in US dollars?
Yes. We quote and invoice in USD, so you carry no exchange risk and have nothing to convert.
Do we pay Canadian tax?
No. GST, HST and Quebec QST are zero-rated on goods exported to the United States, so Canadian sales tax never appears on your invoice.
What about import duty?
Qualifying printed goods generally enter the United States duty-free under CUSMA/USMCA. We prepare the export documentation and the certification of origin as part of the job.
How much can we actually save?
The exchange rate, zero-rated export tax and manufacturer-direct pricing stack, and buyers comparing a like-for-like domestic quote commonly land thirty to forty percent below it. The figure depends on the rate that day and the specification, so we quote the real number per project rather than promising a percentage.
How fast are proofs?
Physical proofs go out by FedEx and typically reach major US metros the next business day.
Do you work in English?
Yes, native-level English. Every proof, quote, call and email is in English by default. French is available for bilingual events.
Will your stock work with our printers and scanners?
We confirm rather than assume. Give us your printer models, your ticketing platform and your scanning setup, and we confirm the specs before a run commits, with samples you can test in your own equipment.
Can you hold an on-sale date?
Event dates do not move, so we plan production backward from your on-sale or gate date. Being about an hour from the border is what lets a Canadian supplier hold a US date at all.
